Bitcoin QT ppa
I have followed the instructions on the Distro Geeks site.Basically this:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install bitcoin-qt
Everything looked O.K., but when invoking bitcoin-qt from the command line, it tells me this:
Error initializing database environment /home/mark/.bitcoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat.
Doing a whereis, it says this: bitcoin-qt: /usr/bin/bitcoin-qt /usr/bin/X11/bitcoin-qt
Seems redundant, and I'm sure not going to delete my X11 diectory.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
