In 1993, Bill Gates famously said, “The Internet is a passing fad”.

Today, the Internet connects billions of people all around the World, including essentially every university, college, school and place of learning. The success of the Internet is probably down to its open and decentralized nature.

To say the Internet has revolutionized our lives is probably an understatement. We use smartphones, tablets and computers to communicate, buy, learn, share, and more every day. The digital age is truly upon us.

Now it’s time for currencies to evolve.

In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper called, Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System

You can read Satoshi’s paper here:

In late 2013, Bitcoin, an open source, decentralized digital currency, had a market cap in excess of $12 billion! This happened in just over six months. Currently, each Bitcoin is worth around $500. There are Bitcoin ATMs, conferences, exchanges, and trading platforms all around the World now. Bitcoin is evolving at a phenomenal rate, probably faster than most would have imagined.

The Bitcoin Revolution is being compared to the early days of the Internet, but evolving much faster than the early Internet.

Bitcoin is not just a currency but a highly efficient payment system too. It’s incredibly easy to send and receive Bitcoin via its wallet. Unlike bank accounts, Paypal and credit cards, anyone can have a Bitcoin wallet or multiple wallets. There are no age restrictions, credit checks or ID checks.

Because of Bitcoin’s open source nature, decentralization, public ledger, ease-of-use, and secure transaction processing, the possibilities for businesses, like the early Internet, seem limitless.

Seeing the vast potential of Bitcoin, Dave and Adrian have created their own coin called GB Coin, which is based on Bitcoin technology. They are promoting GB Coin via free crypto workshops throughout the UK, and even giving away free GB Coins so people new to the technology can see how it works.

Dave and Adrian are now available for corporate workshops, including bespoke coin development for corporations, and small businesses.
