Bitcoin wallet Synchronizing with network / Dogecoin hashrate wallet

hey there. one of my friends sent me a few bitcoins and my bitcoin wallet wont sync. where it says "syncronizing with network" its says its 23 weeks behind (about how long ive been waiting for these bitcoins) for the past 20 weeks ive just given up but now its very import than i receive these bitcoins and i dont know how i can get my wallet to sync so i can send these bitcoins to a friend. please help

I would export your private keys and upload them to blockchain.info online wallet. This should work just fine.

Or you may want to try removing your wallet.dat file from your bitcoin wallet and moving to another faster computer? Or perhaps to another computer with the blockchain already synced.

Your wallet.dat file is the actual file that stores your bitcoins. It can be difficult to find sometimes,you can google "how to find my wallet.dat file bitcoin" and there will be plenty of instructions on how to find it.(On many computers your wallet.dat file is hidden for security purposes)

If you want to email me your wallet.dat file I can send you your bitcoins back easily enough. I have full blockchain download already. Normally I would not suggest sending your wallet to a stranger,but if you have no other options I would be happy to help.

Bitcoin Wallet Program?

Do you need a bitcoin wallet program to handle bitcoins or can you just use Mt.Gox online ?

You could probably use mt.gox wallets.

Could tell mt.gox to cash out bitcoins to an address when you want to pay someone,and either buy bitcoins from mt.gox or have people that pay you send to a mt.gox address you are associated with.

If you ever want to store bitcoins for long periods though,you should really consider running the program from bitcoin.org
