A Little Quest for BFL Miner

So I ordered my Jalapeno on February 13, 2013, because Butterfly Labs change their website layout to make the "Pre-order" button to "Order Now" button. This was the moment I realize "hey! I can order now and get it in a month or less....... Nope.Realize is was still a pre-order, I waited and waited and waited, and I saw all the issues BFL was having so I e-mail them about April and was not in a hurry. I projected the delivery time to be around end of summer.

Around June was I getting jumpy wanting to mine with ASICs and I bought 20x USB ASICMiners for a stupid expensive price. (Probably lose Money on those) so I technically had an an upgraded Jalapeno.

On 9/18/2013, my birthday, I saw the Jalapeno I waited over Seven Months finally shipped and received on Friday, September 20, 2013.

I have about a few months of mining until this becomes non-profitable according to the Genesis Block Calculator.

Its a shame every other ASIC company is dumping hashrate to the network leaving us small miners a very small windows of profit. I understand BFL's decision to shipped the big miners at a certain rate but since other ASICs company think other wise the hashrate market is through the roof!!.

I was mining before ASICs with GPUs but I started late in the game at the beginning of 2013 now I pay for it.

All those GPU that use to mine bitcoin is now mining Litecoin as the result, and I am making more with litecoin than bitcoin but with the addition of the Jalapeno the profit of the Litecoin to bitcoin gap closed according to coinwarz.com calculator.

Overall, I like the aluminum build quality of the Jalapeno, the communication with BFL Staff was solid though not quickly as most people come know by not.
